This Research Assistant position is associated with the funded research grant, Transition Coalition Self-Study+ (TCSS+) in the Department of Leadership, Learning, & Counseling. The role supports essential research activities during the last two years of the project (2026‑2027 and 2027‑2028). Responsibilities include coordinating research projects, recruiting participants, collecting and managing online data, summarizing findings, and assisting in data analysis to inform the final intervention. The research principal investigator, Dr. Mary Morningstar, provides day‑to‑day oversight and assigns work. Responsibilities Coordinate research projects, including recruitment and data collection. Manage online data collection and data management processes. Summarize and prepare data for analysis and reporting. Assist in developing, editing, and enhancing research procedures and systems. Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats. Collaborate with a team‑based research environment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field. One or more years of experience in research support. Demonstrated ability to develop, edit, and enhance existing research procedures and systems under supervision. Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience performing focused research or evaluation tasks, including data management and online data collection. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in education or a related field. Ability to acknowledge, encourage, and celebrate differences.
