Shift Details: Speech Language Pathologist Duties & Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication disorders, including speech, language, and social communication difficulties.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, considering the student's age, abilities, and educational goals.
- Provide direct therapy services using evidence-based techniques to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated intervention and support.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate and train teachers and support staff on effective communication strategies.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide recommendations for students with communication disorders.
- Stay up to date with research and advancements in speech-language pathology and apply evidence-based practices.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and related documentation.
- Advocate for students with communication disorders and promote awareness within the school community.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and maintain ethical and professional standards.
Minimum Qualifications: - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting.
- Strong knowledge of communication disorders, assessment tools, and evidence-based intervention techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple caseloads and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in technology and software applications relevant to speech-language pathology.
