Principal Accountabilities:
Harvesting salt and supporting processing operations
Performing pre-operational and safety inspections on assigned equipment
Greasing, lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment
Reporting equipment damage, malfunctions, or repair needs
Assisting the Wash Plant Operator in maintaining efficient salt processing operations
Washing down salt buildup and clearing accumulations from conveyors and rollers
Collecting washed and unwashed salt samples every two hours under normal operating conditions
Moving gantry systems to maintain salt stockpiles
Moving and managing water lines
Troubleshooting minor water pressure and valve operation issues
Performing housekeeping and manual labor tasks as needed - Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures
Understanding and adhering to all policies and procedures
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to understand and communicate in English (written and verbal)
Ability to perform physical job duties including: bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, twisting, lifting up to 50 pounds, working in awkward positions; with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments that may include: heat, cold, dust, noise and other environmental conditions; while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Ability to operate machinery and industrial equipment with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work at elevations of 4 feet or higher
Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous heavy equipment operating experience
Experience operating loaders, haul trucks, dump trucks, tractors, or forklifts
Experience working in industrial, mining, agricultural, construction, or manufacturing environments
Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
