Job Description

Warehouse Order PickerMarks all pallets with identifying information per Manual Work Instructions (MWI).Transfer (QSP#35) of packed finished product to the warehouse in a timely manner. Pick orders and validate part numbers and lot identification numbers to ship (QSP#33).Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or assigned locations.Pick and assembles customer orders from stock, accurately against picking tickets using an RF Scanner.Load picked rolls onto pallets or convey to the shipping department.Must use banding machine to safely secure the load for transit.Use RF Barcode Scanner and workstation to make inventory transactions. Is able to validate reports and correct picking errors for 100% accuracy before shipment.Operate the stretch wrap machine.Qualifications and RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or ExperienceMinimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.Six months of previous order picking experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Stand up reach truck and Order/Cherry Picker experience requiredRF Barcode Scanner experience requiredLanguage SkillsCommunication skills, both written and verbal must be at least at a 9th grade level. Must be able to communicate in English and follow work instructions.Mathematical SkillsMust be able to do basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction and multiplication.Other Skills and AbilitiesAbility to interface with other departments and employees.Ability to follow written Quality Safety Process (QSP) and Standard Operator Procedures (SOP) that apply to the job requirement.Ability to use rulers and common measuring devices.Must be able to operate a hand truck and a forklift.Meets job requirements while maintaining a high level of productivity, safety, service and accuracy within the written and on-the-job training of standard operating procedures.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
