Job Description

Medical Assembler This role focuses on assembling intricate medical devices using hand tools and microscopes in a full cleanroom environment. You will work with very small components, follow detailed processes, and help produce life-saving medical products in a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility. Responsibilities Assemble a variety of medical devices throughout the day using hand tools, blades, cutters, and other small instruments. Perform detailed assembly work under a microscope, handling and maneuvering very small components and parts with precision. Become cross-trained at different assembly stations to support multiple production processes. Follow potentially complex and difficult assembly procedures, learning new processes quickly and accurately. Work consistently in a full cleanroom environment, following all gowning and cleanliness protocols. Use rulers and calipers to understand and verify measurements during assembly and inspection tasks. Inspect assembled components and devices under a microscope to ensure quality and compliance with specifications. Maintain organization at your workstation, keeping tools, materials, and documentation in order. Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors using strong verbal and written communication skills. Lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis to move materials, components, and finished products as needed. Support production demands by working overtime when required. Follow all safety and cleanroom rules, including proper handwashing and adherence to dress code requirements. Essential Skills Minimum 6 months or more of experience in medical assembly or other forms of manufacturing or assembly. Strong hand dexterity and the ability to work with very small components and parts. Ability to perform assembly and inspection work under a microscope. Experience working in a cleanroom or similar controlled environment is highly beneficial. Comfort using hand tools such as blades, cutters, and other assembly instruments. Ability to understand and work with measurements using rulers and calipers. Capability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Willingness and ability to work overtime when required. Stable work history in assembly or manufacturing environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous medical device assembly experience, including work with catheters or similar products. Prior experience in general assembly or manufacturing roles with a consistent employment record. Experience with inspection processes in a cleanroom environment. Work Environment This position is based in a medical device manufacturing facility with a full cleanroom environment. You will wear a hair net, gown, booties, and other required cleanroom attire, and you must wash your hands each time before entering the cleanroom. The dress code prohibits nail polish, long artificial nails, makeup, fragrances such as perfume or cologne, henna tattoos, and pants with holes. Closed-toe shoes are required at all times. Work is performed using microscopes, hand tools, and precision measuring devices, following strict cleanliness and safety protocols in a controlled environment that supports high-quality medical device production. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minnetonka, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $19.25/hr.
