The Ogeechee Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office is seeking a dedicated, resourceful, and experienced Investigator to support the prosecution of criminal cases across the circuit. The Investigator plays a vital role in assisting Assistant District Attorneys in preparing for trial through the impartial and professional collection of evidence and coordination with witnesses and victims. Location: Our Statesboro (Bulloch County) office. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct thorough, impartial investigations to support the apprehension, indictment, and prosecution of criminal offenders. Assist Assistant District Attorneys by reviewing case files, identifying investigative needs, and gathering evidence. Locate, interview, and subpoena witnesses and victims; coordinate court appearances and related accommodations. Provide support and security to attorneys, victims, and witnesses during interviews, courtroom proceedings, and trial preparations. Work collaboratively with law enforcement agencies, social service providers, and court personnel to ensure investigative effectiveness. Prepare comprehensive investigative reports and maintain accurate documentation and records of all activities. Required Skills & Qualifications: At least five (5) years of experience in criminal investigations or law enforcement. U.S. Citizenship. Valid Georgia Driver’s License. Must be Georgia POST-certified. Must pass background check, fingerprinting, criminal history review, and pre-employment drug screening. Preferred Qualifications: Strong knowledge of Georgia criminal law and courtroom procedures. Experience working with prosecutorial offices or in a multi-agency investigative role. Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Salary: Commensurate with experience.
