HR Assistant (Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist)
Location: Boxborough, MA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: Up to $27.00/hour (commensurate with experience)
Position Overview We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team in a dynamic, client-facing role. In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and internal stakeholders, driving our recruitment pipeline and delivering an exceptional onboarding experience for new hires.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment Support: Draft job descriptions, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and maintain active communication with applicants throughout the hiring process.
- Client Engagement: Serve as a welcoming, professional brand ambassador for candidates, clients, and visitors.
- Onboarding & Orientation: Coordinate background checks, prepare new hire paperwork, and facilitate day-one orientation to ensure a seamless integration into the company.
- HR Operations: Maintain accurate employee records, update internal databases, and assist with general administrative HR tasks.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in an HR, recruiting, or customer-facing administrative role.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Organizational skills with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and MS Office / Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

our Randstad Inhouse Service (RIS) division. RIS offers a unique operations and staffing solution
that caters specifically to clients with high volume staffing needs. The Recruiting Assistant will work
on-site at our client's location and build relationships with hiring managers to understand their
staffing needs. The Recruiting Assistant will listen to understand the quality and volume, screen,
interview, and identify qualified candidates to fill positions. They will act as an on-site extension of
the client's HR function and support the Randstad On Site Manager in all aspects of the client
workforce including business relationship development, recruitment and selection.
Monday-Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm
- Answer phone calls and emails in a busy office
- Support recruitment efforts by placing ads
- Help Support recruitment and hiring efforts by interviewing candidates
- Completion of hiring documentation for candidates
- Help current employees with any HR issues that may arise
