Hands on Housekeeper in Beachwood, OH

Location: Beachwood, OH Position Type: Full-Time | Live-In Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (730am-730pm) 50 Hours Per Week  Days off Monday & Wednesday  Compensation: $36-$40/hr + Overtime: up to $114,400/yr based on experience and qualifications
Benefits: Industry Standards: Paid time off, daily meals, relocation, insurance or stipend, overtime after 40 hours

Position Overview

A private household in Beachwood, Ohio is seeking an experienced, full-time Housekeeper/Laundress to maintain a large private residence. This is a hands-on housekeeping role with a primary focus on maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the home. The household follows established cleaning systems and schedules, and the successful candidate will be comfortable working independently while following detailed procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas, including:
    • Bedrooms
    • Bathrooms
    • Kosher Kitchen
    • Living and family areas
    • Entryways and hallways
    • Playrooms
    • Floors and other common spaces
  • Complete daily Kosher kitchen reset, including:
    • Loading and unloading the dishwasher
    • Cleaning countertops and sinks
    • Emptying trash and recycling
    • Maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness
  • Perform household laundry, including:
    • Washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens
    • Putting laundry away
    • Changing household towels on a regular schedule
    • Maintaining guest linens and bedding
  • Prepare guest accommodations by changing linens, cleaning guest bathrooms, and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Assist with household preparation and cleanup before and after weekends, holidays, and family gatherings.
  • Follow household-specific kitchen procedures, including kosher kitchen guidelines. Prior experience is welcomed but not required; training will be provided.
  • Maintain supplies and notify the employer when household items need replenishment.
  • Help maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming home environment.
  • Provide occasional assistance with childcare-related tasks only when requested and when household responsibilities allow.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a housekeeper, laundress, or in a similar role within a private home or comparable environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high housekeeping standards.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established cleaning procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize daily responsibilities.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Professional communication skills and discretion when working in a private residence.
  • Willingness to learn household-specific procedures, including kosher kitchen practices.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $36–$40 per hour + overtime, depending on experience and qualifications (Up to $114,00/yr)
