The role also includes two evening shifts per week (until 8:00 PM) and 4 hours of work on Saturdays, on a rotating basis. For example, an employee may work two weeknights one week and a Saturday shift the following week. While the schedule may vary week to week, the total hours will generally not exceed 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime may be required based on program needs.**POSITION SUMMARY:** Family Advocates provide case management services to families and are expected to meet with clients in their homes, schools or at the Family Resource Center. Works with coordinating programs and agencies to establish services in the best interest of the client.**REQUIREMENTS:**1. Represent the agency in a professional and competent manner.2. Participate in assigned scheduled agency meetings, in-service trainings, conferences and other trainings as determined by the supervisor. This includes serving as an agency representative at assigned community meetings.7. Observance of assigned working hours and program appointments by demonstrating promptness and thorough preparation.8. Performance of assigned duties with a positive attitude and in the spirit of teamwork, collaboration and cooperation.9. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.10. Perform job duties in a safe manner to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.11. Participates in and/or supports agency fund development activities and events.12. Preparation of assigned reports, work records, statistical data, job performance evaluations, work plans, etc. in a timely manner.## Qualifications**QUALIFICATIONS:**1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in social services or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.2. **Bilingual - English/Spanish required**. Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish, fluently.3. Experience working with families impacted by trauma, behavioral health needs, or child welfare systems.4. Experience with Motivational Interviewing5. Knowledge of protective factors, public benefits, early childhood development, and local resources.6. Familiarity with RBA, ACES, ASQ, The Five Protective Factors, and other assessment tools is a plus.7. Experience in crisis intervention, case management, group, family or individual counseling.8. Experience and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of organizations and with people of all ages, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.9. Knowledge of public health, social services, nonprofit operations & local resources.10. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills11. Proficiency in office software (Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).12. Ability to travel for community engagement and events.13. Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints.14. Pass agency paid TB (Tuberculosis) screening.15. Pass agency paid health screening and/or drug testing, if required.16. Valid California driver’s license and Proof of auto insurance coverage.17. Pass agency paid MVR clearance with no more than 2 points - if you are under the age of 25 our insurance company will not allow any points.**DUTIES:**1. Serve as a primary point of contact for families referred through Differential Response (DR), AfterCare, and FFPSA programs.2. Support all sites with Differential response and AfterCare referrals.3. Provide intensive case management for families with complex needs, including those at risk of child welfare involvement or returning from formal systems of care.4. Conduct comprehensive assessments, including Protective Factors Survey (PFS), and ASQ-3 developmental screenings.5. Coordinate and participate in Family Team Meetings, ensuring family voice and choice are centered.6. Develop and monitor individualized Family Action Plans, focused on family strengths and aligned with FFPSA and CSA goals.7. Assist families in navigating services across systems, including mental health, child welfare, public benefits, housing, and early childhood education.8. Conduct home visits and field-based outreach to engage families and ensure follow-through on action plans.9. Provide warm hand-offs and follow-ups to ensure continuity of care and support.10. Facilitate workshops and trainings that support family stabilization and strengthen protective factors.11. Maintain accurate case documentation in agency database and other required systems, including data for reporting and evaluation.12. Conduct community outreach and build partnerships to connect families to services.13. Participates in reflective supervision and fidelity coaching, as needed under FFPSA service models.14. Supports crisis response and assist families during difficult transitions.15. Participates in all required program trainings and certifications16.
