Job Description

The Disability Allies is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting young adults with and without disabilities. Through social events and skill‑building activities, we provide opportunities for participants to practice social skills and build relationships. Job Description Position Summary: The Event Director will lead a team responsible for planning and organizing events, managing registration, and ensuring smooth operations. Responsibilities: Plan the activities for our events. Address concerns or questions members have. Ensure individuals register online and check‑in at monthly events. Maintain records of attendees. Update the database with emails and phone numbers. Essential Functions / Working Conditions: Meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities. Be proficient in Microsoft Office. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Connect with others and develop relationships. Commit to the mission of serving young adults with disabilities. Perform multiple tasks concurrently. Exhibit strong time‑management and organizational skills. Maintain detailed records and confidential information. About the Disability Allies: We plan team‑building activities that connect young adults and children with and without disabilities. At our events we pair participants with mentors to help develop social skills and facilitate interaction.
