About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the establishment, maturation, and governance of its enterprise information security program. This senior leadership role is pivotal in ensuring that the security posture meets the demands of various stakeholders, including institutional investors, regulatory bodies, and internal fiduciary obligations. The CISO will be responsible for information security governance, compliance, risk management, and controls, with a focus on building and maturing security programs within a multi-entity investment structure. The role demands a hands-on approach and deep expertise in security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and SOC 2 Type II, as well as a strong background in data protection regulations like GDPR and CCPA. Candidates for the CISO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of progressive information security experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior security leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in private equity, asset management, or financial services environments, with a focus on multi-entity and multi-fund structures. Key responsibilities include designing and leading the enterprise-wide Information Security Management System, owning the information security policy framework, and driving the adoption of security certifications. The CISO will also be involved in compliance and regulatory activities, third-party risk management, and incident response planning. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves presenting security posture and risk to executive leadership and institutional investors.
