West Valley Dance Company is a premier dance studio with locations in San Jose, Willow Glen, and Mountain View, offering professional dance education for dancers of all ages and skill levels. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced part-time Ballet Teacher to join our team at our Bascom Avenue studio in San Jose. Schedule: Monday-Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM. Our instructors work with dancers ranging from 18 months to 18 years old, teaching a variety of styles while fostering confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of dance. WVDC instructors are more than teachers- they are mentors who inspire and guide the next generation of dancers. What You’ll Do Provide engaging and professional ballet instruction to students of varying ages and abilities Create a supportive, encouraging classroom environment where every dancer can grow Inspire creativity, confidence, and teamwork through movement and performance Maintain strong communication with families and studio leadership Contribute to a positive studio culture rooted in passion, excellence, and community Compensation $25-50/hr. depending on individual experience, education and position requirements. Requirements Our ideal candidate will: Have a strong dance background and a genuine passion for both dance and teaching Have experience working with children and students ages 18 months-18 years (preferred) Bring energy, creativity, and encouragement into every class Be committed to helping dancers develop both technical skills and confidence for life Communicate clearly and professionally with students, families, and team members Be reliable, professional, and a collaborative team player Have reliable transportation and a desire to continue learning and growing Benefits Benefits for employees who work 30 hrs+ per week include: Vacation, sick, and holiday pay- including a paid holiday closure at the end of December!
