Designstruct, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to fill a position in our architectural drafting department. Applicant's related experience and educational background will determine the potential position/job title.

Preferred candidate will have:

• Create construction plans for small commercial projects.
• Provide timely and accurate design floor plans and exterior elevations as a design development package.
• Achieves good work habits that include but are not limited to attention to detail, self-starting, planning, taking the task to completion, working on multiple tasks, consistency, follow-through, good time management and willingness to put in the extra effort.
• The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and skills.
• Strong portfolio to prove AutoCAD skills.
• Employees will be required to collaborate within a team comprised of construction-related trades. The applicant will be tasked with putting together multiple disciplines to create construction drawings and documents for submission to various State and Local entities.
• Foundational knowledge of retail, office, and restaurant project types.

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience in commercial construction required
• Detail oriented, Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Competency in reading and interpreting plans and blueprints
