Adjunct Faculty, Education & Leadership Barry University, Miami Shores, FL Type: Adjunct / Part‑Time Category Curriculum and Instruction; Educational Administration and Leadership Summary Barry University’s Department of Education and Leadership provides quality education in a caring environment for an adult student population. In addition to the campus in Miami Shores, satellite sites exist throughout Florida and in the Bahamas. The Adjunct Faculty member will teach courses in undergraduate and graduate programs at locations in Miami Shores and online. Courses are delivered in synchronous/online, hybrid, and face‑to‑face formats. Programs BS in Education (Pre‑K/Primary, Elementary and ESE) Exceptional Student Education (MS) Curriculum and Instruction (MS, EdS, and PhD) Reading and Literacy Studies (MS, EdS) Essential Functions Class times vary but are generally 3 hours each week on weekdays or on Saturdays. Graduate courses are typically 3 hours once a week, held in the evening on weekdays or in the mornings on weekends. Adjuncts consult with respective Program Directors to develop and execute courses and perform additional responsibilities outlined in the faculty handbook. Qualifications & Requirements Master’s degree in education required. Doctoral degree in discipline of graduate teaching preferred for MS/EdS courses and required for PhD or EdD courses. Applied experience in the field required. Prior college‑level teaching experience with an adult student population preferred.
